These terms govern use of the ComTac applications and supporting services provided by Mentors and Tacticians F.Z.E ("ComTac", "we"), a Free Zone Establishment registered in Ajman Free Zone, United Arab Emirates under licence 53654.
ComTac is supplied to organisations under a written agreement. It is not a consumer service and is not offered to the general public. Use of the applications requires an operator account issued by us or by the organisation that holds the contract. If you received your account from your organisation, your use is also subject to that organisation's own policies.
Where a signed agreement exists between us and your organisation, that agreement governs commercial terms — scope, hardware supply, rental, fees, service levels and term. These terms supplement it and apply to individual operators using the applications. In the event of conflict, the signed agreement prevails.
You agree not to use ComTac to break the law of any jurisdiction in which you operate; to interfere with the radio network, its relay infrastructure or other operators' traffic; to attempt to access accounts, deployments or hardware you have not been assigned; or to reverse engineer, resell or sublicense the service outside your organisation's agreement.
Radio transmission is regulated. You are responsible for ensuring that the frequencies, power levels and equipment you use are permitted where you operate them.
ComTac radio hardware supplied on rental remains our property unless the agreement says otherwise. You are responsible for its safekeeping and for reporting loss or compromise promptly, so that credentials and encryption keys can be rotated.
ComTac is designed to operate without internet or cellular infrastructure, and the radio network functions independently of our central systems. Provisioning, onboarding and administrative functions do depend on hosted infrastructure and may be interrupted for maintenance or by third-party failure. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of those functions except where a service level is stated in your organisation's agreement.
ComTac is a communication tool, not a safety-of-life system. It must not be relied upon as the sole means of communication where failure could cause injury or loss of life, and it is not a substitute for emergency services or for a regulated safety system. You remain responsible for maintaining appropriate fallback procedures.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amounts payable under your organisation's agreement for the period in which the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may suspend an operator account that is being used in breach of these terms, or at the request of the organisation that issued it. Termination of your organisation's agreement ends the right to use the applications and the obligation to return rented hardware applies as set out there.
The ComTac applications include components licensed under the GNU General Public License version 3. Notices and the corresponding source-availability obligations are set out within the applications.
We may update these terms. Material changes affecting contracted organisations will be notified to the contract administrator. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Ajman, without prejudice to mandatory consumer or data-protection rights available to you locally.
